The chemagic Magnetic Separation Module I
Classical methods of DNA and RNA isolation are based on column or precipitation methods requiring centrifugation or vacuum steps. This is often a limiting step for high throughput automation. Chemagen differs from other manufactures by using its chemagic Magnetic Separation Module (MSM) I. The chemagic MSM I uses magnetisable rods to attract the magnetic beads. NExt, the beads can be transferred to another tube containing the next buffer and are efficiently resuspended by switching of the electromagnet and stirring of the separate rods. This can be repeated several times for the different buffers, resulting in high yield and purity of the nucleic acids compared to other technologies.
